Finished Up the First Ancient Greece Power Point
Today in class we finished going over
the first ancient Greece power point. We went over a few more philosophers like
Socrates. Before Socrates had died, he had a student and follow named Plato.
Plato learned Socrates’s teachings and he was at Socrates’s trial. Plato later wrote about the trial in his book
named Apology. Plato then published a
book named Republic. Republic was about was Socrates’
discussion of justice and the ideal state - one of the most influential books
on philosophy ever written. Then, Plato started to get a following and a had a
student named Aristotle. Aristotle helped foster the idea of Athens as intellectual
destination. He also created a school named Lyceum. Lyceum focused on
cooperative research and building knowledge gathered from all over the world.
The
last part of this is not about ancient Greece, but about Josh Hamer.
This
weekend, I created a picture frame with the papers I got from his viewing and
funeral and some other pictures of him. While making it, I looked back on some
of his baby pictures and I saw how happy he was. I’m gonna miss that smile of
his and that picture frame helps me remember every day that tomorrow is not
promised and helps me take nothing for granted. Love you bro
