Introduction to Western Civ.

     Today in Western Civilization, we were introduced to the course. Mr. Schick started to talk about what will need for class. and what we are going to learn. He said we will need a composition notebook, a computer, and a pen or pencil. Then, Mikey Shock asked if we could use a spiral notebook. Mr. Schick demonstrated why it wasn't a good idea to have a spiral notebook. To do this, he threw Anna's notebook across the room. He then said that if that were a spiral, it would have broken and that a composition notebook would last longer. After that, he said we can open our computers to make our blogs. The instructions he send in an email so that saved so time in class. Once I was done making my blog, I sent the address to him. Then, he went over most of the classes' blogs. After that, we talked about how many points the blogs are worth. Mr. Schick said that they were 140 points and that they were due midnight that night. The only difference is on Friday when he said they could be due on Saturday. He did this because he said we can have a social life. After that, the class ended and I had the first day of western civilization under my belt.
