The War Begins Review

     Today was the first day I came back from my sickness. So, when I was gone, the class learned a little bit about the Declaration of Independence. The declaration was written on July 4, 1776, and basically explains why the colonist were starting to break away from Britain. They said that the British rule was so oppressive that they had no other option. They also say that the king would not listen to the public. So, the colonists are now wanted their own nation and start to stock up weapons, ammo, and create a group of men that are called the minutemen. Turns out they would need all of these pretty soon. When the king got the declaration, he was furious. So, he sent more British troops and realized the colonist started to commit treason. And the rest of the story I have already told earlier. But, I find it funny to think that the first person to die was the person who overslept.
