The US Constitution
The Preamble of the constitution is the beginning part of
the constitution. It states that they are creating this constitution to
establish a perfect union. They say that it will establish justice, provide for
the common defense, promote the general welfare, insure domestic tranquility,
and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.
The first article talks about the powers of the legislative
branch. It says all the formal documents like laws with must go pass the Senate
and House of Representatives.
The second article talks
about how many members each state can have in the House of Representatives.
They also say to be a representative, you must be 25 years old and have been a
citizen of the US for at least 7 years.
The third article talks about the Senate. To be a part of
the Senate, you must be 30-year-old, must been a citizen for at least 9 years,
and cannot be an inhabitant of the state that choose him.
The fourth article talks about the holding of Elections for
important positions. It says the state can hold these elections, but Congress
at any time can make a law changing these elections.
The fifth article talks about how to deal with its elected officials.
It says that states can handle how they want to punish its member for
disorderly behavior and it states the state can also expel a member.
The sixth article talks about the payment of the official.
The constitution says they will receive compensation for their services and
that the Treasury of the United States will pay them.
The seventh article talk about making money. It says all
bills raising money can come from the House of Representatives, but the Senate
may propose with amendments as on other bills.
